We woke up at 4 AM, Markos drove us up in the dark, and watching the sea of clouds light up in gold as the sun rose over Bangladesh was something we'll never forget. We came with three kids (ages 6, 10, and 14) and were worried about keeping everyone happy. Markos planned the itinerary perfectly — the younger ones loved Ward's Lake and the pedal boats, the older one was fascinated by Don Bosco Museum, and the adults got their fill of nature at Elephant Falls and Umiam Lake. The 2BHK room at Wiba Homestay was spacious enough for all five of us. Markos drove carefully on the mountain roads and never made us feel rushed. He even stopped at a local market so we could buy fresh Khasi produce. Absolutely wonderful experience.

Six of us came from Kolkata for a girls' trip and it was the best decision we ever made. Markos arranged a large vehicle for all of us, managed our luggage, and was endlessly patient with our constant photo stops. Dawki was the highlight — the water is so clear it looks unreal. We also loved Mawlynnong village — it's genuinely the cleanest place we've ever visited. The homestay had enough rooms for all of us and the common area was great for our evening chats. Markos even recommended a local band playing at a café in Shillong one evening. Absolutely perfect trip.

His English is excellent, his knowledge of the region is deep, and his driving on the mountain roads is confident and safe. The Mawphlang Sacred Forest was the most spiritual experience of our trip — Markos explained the Khasi beliefs around the sacred grove in a way that gave us genuine respect for the place. The homestay was comfortable and the location in Mawpat is peaceful. We'll definitely be back.

I only had 3 days but Markos made every hour count. He picked me up from Guwahati airport at 11 PM without any fuss, had the room ready, and had a full itinerary planned for the next morning. Shillong Peak at sunrise was breathtaking — I could see the entire city spread out below with clouds rolling in from Bangladesh. Ward's Lake in the morning was peaceful and beautiful. Markos also took me to a local market where I tried Jadoh for the first time — absolutely delicious. The homestay was clean, comfortable, and great value. I'll definitely be back for a longer trip.

I specifically asked Markos to take me to the less-touristy waterfalls, and he delivered beyond my expectations. Sweet Falls and Bishop Falls were incredible — we were the only people there. The drive through the Cherrapunji hills with Markos narrating the history of the region was as enjoyable as the destinations themselves. He also knew exactly when the light would be best at each waterfall for photography. The homestay was a perfect base — quiet, clean, and with the most comfortable beds. Markos is genuinely passionate about sharing Meghalaya with visitors, and it shows in everything he does.
